FAQ
Please browse our frequently asked questions, and feel free to call us if your question is not answered here. We are always here to help!
Where are you located?
We are located at 50 Red Fox Lane in Fredericksburg, VA. Get directions.
What time can I pick-up/drop-off my dog?
For boarding, our pick-up and drop-off hours include anytime between 10am – 2pm or 5pm – 7pm. Daycare dogs may be dropped off as early as 6:30am. Our holiday hours may vary.
What vaccinations do you require?
Proof of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Canine Influenza (H3N8/H3N2) and Bordetella (canine cough) are required prior to booking a reservation. Please note the Bordetella vaccine must be administered at least 14 days prior to visiting with us.
Should I bring food for my dog?
We suggest that you bring food from home to keep your dog’s diet consistent and encourage you to portion out each meal. Most people use sandwich baggies. It is a good idea to pack extra food in the event you experience travel delays. A consistent diet helps reduce the chance of stomach upset or stool issues. This is especially true of any dogs that experience stress or separation anxiety while boarding. We appreciate you working with us to provide your dog with a stress free, fun vacation.
Should I bring toys, blankets, beds, etc.?
Our housing areas are climate-controlled and feature Kuranda Doggie Cots. We also have plenty of bowls, blankets, toys, and more. So, there is no need to bring bedding or belongings from home.
Will you administer my dog’s medication?
Silverbrook animal care staff will gladly administer medication or additives you supply for your dog’s stay at no extra charge.
How long is your training program?
We have a 3-week board and training program for obedience. Visit our obedience training page to learn more.
