During our three-week program, your pup will stay with us in a home-like environment that keeps them comfortable. We set up a consultation visit with owners at the end of our second week of training. At this point, we can touch base with you about how training is going and begin discussing after-training instructions. With our dog handling and management recommendations, we make it easier for you to build on the base of obedience skills your dog has learned during training.
And that’s not all. We’ll work with you and your dog at the end of our program to further build on good handling skills. It means you’ll have the chance to develop language that works for you and your dog, and to pick up best practices for dog management at home. This helps your dog respond to commands from you and keeps their obedience skills fresh even after the program is over.
When the program’s completed, we’ll do a final review of our management plan. You’ll have the chance to practice commands with your dog, too. With this comprehensive process, we foster confident pet handling for owners, while giving your dog the obedience training they need to excel at home!
